Ethics states, “This is what should be done, this is why it should be done, and this is how it will be done”. According to the authors, for personal etiquette and decision-making processes ethics codes help by working as guidelines in solving limited problems. Particularly, ethical codes do not have an answer for every confusion and challenge that may arise when dealing with ethics. It helps us to give articulate, defensible reasons for why certain action ought or ought not be done”. According to the author, all individuals deserve to live well and have a happy life. We humans need to understand the good and bad. We are able to understand the reason why actions are done. Louis Pojman and James Fieser contends that, “The study of ethics is not only instrumental value but valuable on its own right”. Personally, I believe that my principles are conducted on what parents have taught me. Singer asks that, “CAN MORAL JUDGEMENT BETTER BE TRUE OR FALSE? or is ethics, at bottom, a purely subjective matter, for individual to choose, or perhaps relation to the cultural of the society in which one lives?” According to the author, we cannot verify our feelings and our behaviors in the terms of moral perceptions.
